The Society of Bastet is a true community-run organization. Formed under the Societies Act in the Province of Nova Scotia, the Society is run by - and responsible to - its members.
The Board is the central governance body, but we have and encourage volunteers to help us keep the Society running.
The Board and Executive Committee 2012/2013The Society of Bastet is operated by a volunteer board, themselves governed by our By-Laws and internal policies. The Directors serve on staggered terms so that while new members are elected each year, there will always be a familiar face or two to continue the operations and administration of the club in a more effective manner. Elections of new Directors occur during the Annual General Meeting, usually held in October or November.
